As the Academic Dean of Coventry Global Institute (CGI), Dr Muflih brings decades of expertise in academic administration, curriculum development, and global education initiatives.
With a PhD from the University of Birmingham (UK), Dr Muflih has dedicated his career to enhancing access to quality education, fostering international collaborations, and developing strategic partnerships with universities worldwide. His research and academic contributions span theology, educational leadership, women’s empowerment, and student mobility in the MENA region.
Prior to leading CGI, Dr Muflih was the CEO and Co-Founder of Achieve Education Abroad, a leading consultancy firm supporting students across the Middle East and North Africa in accessing international education. He has successfully forged partnerships with top universities across the UK, USA, Germany, Poland, and Spain, facilitating access to global learning opportunities for students.
Dr Muflih has also held academic positions at Amman Arab University and the University of Jordan, where he taught courses in jurisprudence, human rights, and international conflict studies. His professional experience includes establishing joint academic programmes, leading student recruitment strategies, and delivering high-impact training programmes for governmental institutions in Saudi Arabia and the UAE.

With a Bachelor of Science (BSc) with Honours in Biomedical Sciences from Coventry University, UK, Ramona combines analytical thinking with creative problem-solving, making her a versatile asset in higher education marketing.
Her professional experience spans pharmaceutical sales, marketing strategy, and customer engagement, with a proven track record of driving sales growth, managing procurement operations, and delivering persuasive presentations to senior management. Prior to joining CGI, she held key roles in sales and procurement at Meds Medicals Store and Debenhams, where she enhanced client relations, optimised product promotion strategies, and successfully met business targets.
As Marketing Manager at CGI, Ramona leads strategic marketing campaigns, brand positioning, and student recruitment initiatives, ensuring that CGI’s programmes reach the right audience. Her expertise in market research, digital marketing, and sales strategy enables CGI to build a strong presence both locally and internationally.
Fluent in English, Arabic, and Romanian, Ramona is an effective communicator and team leader, capable of engaging with diverse stakeholders. Leïla Powell is a highly experienced specialist in student success, career development, and academic coaching, with over 20 years of expertise in higher education, student support, and international engagement. As the Director of Student Affairs at Coventry Global Institute (CGI), she plays a key role in ensuring that students receive comprehensive academic, personal, and professional support to enhance their educational experience.
With a Master of Arts in Social Policy and Administration from the University of Nottingham, Leïla has dedicated her career to empowering students and removing barriers to higher education. Her expertise spans academic mentoring, student welfare, career coaching, and cultural integration, making her a respected leader in the sector.
Leïla is the Founder and CEO of Thrive at University, an organisation that specialises in supporting international students as they transition into higher education in the UK. Through this initiative, she has developed tailored support programmes, covering academic coaching, accommodation assistance, career guidance, and well-being services.
